Carbon steel Hemispherical heads

This Hot Press Dished Heads are for one of our main clients in taiwan,which is serviced in oil&gas industry

The raw material was supplied to them as the below condition :

1,Supplier must guarantee that the plates supplied are free of cavity,Lamination and cracking, and without defects

2,no weld repair shall be permitted

3,general requirements of plates SA516GR70 shall conform to the applicable requirements of ASME 20

4,Plaes shall be ultrasonically examined in accordance with the requirements of ASME SA-578 Level A, and S1

5, The plates for formed heads shall be performed the following supplementary requirements S3

   1 cycle holding temp 600-620 degree, cooling rate 65mm thk max 56c/H, holding time:65 thk min 2.5H

6,All items shall be normalized

and the details requriement for formed dished heads as follow

1,each head in welding bevel edge shall be 100% MT examination to avoid flaws, cracks, Laminations or others defects

2,welding groove shall be shaped to the final welding geometry and 100% MT examintion for defects

3,Tolerance for Dished End shall conform to UG-81,ASME SECTION VIII-1

4,Inside and outside surface of the dished heads before shipment shall be cleaned ,dry and free of scale

5 welding line is unavoid on dished end,the welding line should be 100% radiograhed in accordance with ASME Code,
